I don’t, I guess part of me still wanted to believe this was something that could be communicated about and resolved. It seems like once they went through cancer treatment a few years ago they’ve really leaned in to this idea that I won’t leave no matter what.
I’m at a point where I really want to feel loved and cared about all the time, not just when I’m doing something to explicitly get a loving reaction.
Ew. I'm sorry this is happening to you. Consult a lawyer. Go to the legal help subreddit. As for just leaving – you need to utilize your support system and trust that it will get easier with time. You may even find someone better when you're ready. I think your child will be fine with less time around dad, it might even be good for them.
