When you both agreed to the payment terms, did you do it in writing (and more importantly, email)? If so, use that record to help get your money. If you are still a student I would also recommend asking your university for advice over how to handle this matter.
Ok, that would be really funny to do intentionally, but I have never heard of an apartment renting to someone who can't pay without someone at minimum co-signing or also being on the lease. If it's possible to just be her and she can't afford it, it would be extremely funny to set it up and just dip out, but that's a lot of work to harm someone who can probably just go back to their ex when you could just never speak to them again
