Honestly, and I may completely wrong but I’ve seen this several times and experienced similar, but I think he may resent you. If he leaves the house all day to work and pays the bills, then comes home and your only job is to clean the home and it’s not clean (I know it’s not a small thing but just expressing his possible mindset). He knows you can literally relax all day while he has deadlines and stress from work so he’s jealous and likely starting to resent you. Although it’s not your fault if he has a stressful job and chose to work, he will still blame you cause he likely views housework and being home all day as easy.
Personally, I recommend you getting a job immediately and see if he will go to marriage counseling. Once you start resenting your partner, you start seeing them as a burden and unattractive. He may divorce you.
My husband (when we were just dating) used to work at 5am and was always tired when we hung out. But yes he did make time to call and text me. You might just need to calmly make it clear that you don’t feel like it’s enough and see what alternative you can find together. Maybe it’s calls before work or on his drive home
