I'm happy for this therapist. You're at the point where you're making this a toxic professional relationship for her. .
Imagine the pain of this woman. She helps you make plans, she gets emotionally invested. She does her best and you commit to her to do better. Then next week you come back and tell her how you didn't do any of it. Why would she believe you again? You keep doing this to her.
When you inevitably get killed by this man, you're going to make her suffer for it for the rest of her life. You've already proven you don't give a shit about yourself. You don't seem to care that you're likely gonna die. So instead realize that everyone else you interact with is getting hurt by your inaction.
I feel so bad for this therapist that she's got to constantly get tossed around in this. Why should anyone be helping you if you just shit all over it the moment you turn around?
Nope. I didn't forget. She's in a 3 month relationship. She's wondering if she will forever regret not getting with her crush. I was trying to indicate he's probably not really that serious and not a sure thing. “Feel him out for his intentions” means if he flirts or says he's really into you, ask him flat out if he is asking about a relationship – or just being light-hearted.
Then she can decide whether to break up with her 3 month boyfriend if the circumstances warrant.
I don't think I was advising cheating, at all.
The mature thing to do is to end things up. Believe someone who didn’t 10 years ago and is now in a very conflicted divorce after years of manipulation and emotional abuse. He is angry at you that people know how he behaved. If he was sorry, he would be angry at himself. He is not sorry that he treated you badly. He is sorry that people know. Let that sink in.
