This is NOT a boundary. Boundaries are self actions. Rules are something you use to control others, which is never okay. This is controlling as hell and I strongly advise you do not put up with the behavior. My ex used to demand I text him at least once an hour, and if he texted me I had to respond within 15 minutes. It made every moment of my life stressful and I could never enjoy my time out with friends. I could never be in the moment. Those controlling behaviors only got worse and worse, and turned into so many levels of abuse. Tell your bf to kick rocks and get the fuck over himself. I want to communicate with people bc I WANT to, not bc I'm REQUIRED to. That takes all the joy out of interactions, and personally I think it's rude to be on your phone if you're out and about with other company. I'll never let someone try to dictate my time like that again
