1. This is correct. If it was truly a sensory issue he couldn’t save the fun for op alone. Even if he got help, I’d be for his next relationship. He’s already locked in his manipulative behavior towards op and it’s very unlikely a therapist will get him to tolerable in a reasonable amount of time. It’s not OPs job to fix him.
