1. So murder is the solution? That's like saying if there's a low chance of getting food then you should intentionally starve your kid to death rather than seek food by any means necessary, or get help from other people willing to give some out if they can.

   Hell, if it's so bad in the US, fly the kid out to a country that allows for better care, take the small tank in finances (in comparison to taking care of the kid for 18 years) and put them up for adoption there. Human Life is precious,.and should not be thrown away because it's inconvenient at the moment.

   Also, 20 year olds still have five years to go before their brains are developed. There isn’t an arbitrary “you are this age? ADULT!” When they hit 18. There is a reason the drinking age and many contracts (and many countries) consider you to still be a child until 21-25
