The mature thing to do is to end things up. Believe someone who didn’t 10 years ago and is now in a very conflicted divorce after years of manipulation and emotional abuse. He is angry at you that people know how he behaved. If he was sorry, he would be angry at himself. He is not sorry that he treated you badly. He is sorry that people know. Let that sink in.
What really pisses me off about OP too is the way he talks about his wife and her reactions when some one shows interest in him. Then he refers to her as knowing “she’s irrational” and twice about her being insecure.
It’s like he’s been so busy being dismissive about her feelings when some bitch comes along trying to step on her toes and cross a line with him, that the thought never occurred to him as why she might be hurt so much about these occasions. Multiple possibilities such as he lets it happen because he likes that kind of attention (even at his wife’s expense), he’s a typical clueless wonder that fails to read these bitches and argues with his wife when she points it out, he is spineless and his wife doesn’t get to see him firmly shut these women right down and he comes up with excuses for their shit conduct because he is clueless about the sophisticated games women play against each other and weaponize the fact that many men are not skilled at picking up on it. I feel bad for this wife Julie.
