If you’re in the US, you can file with the FBI, especially since they are asking for money and info. The FBI will probably direct you to other government agencies you can report it to as well. Also contact the social media platform she contacted you on, they need to know that this person(s) are using it for scams. If they have sent you photos it’s likely they have taken them from some real person who has no idea their likeness is being used. Finally, protect yourself from this happening in the future by cutting off communication with anyone you don’t know that starts asking for money or other things that usually longtime friends or family members ask for. Remember, you aren’t the first and won’t be the last.

Overgeneralization. I casually do cocaine on weekends and have a permanent full time job with pension and own my home. I've been doing it for over 15 years and I'm not out there doing other potent drugs nor am I an addict in the sense of what most people think (likely sneaking around, stealing shit, homeless, etc).

He isn't very expressive and talkative and doesn't have very solid opinions, because he doesn't think as much as I do, but he is solid in important matters and he is responsible overall.. I don't even know if the part about not being expressive and opinionated is because of his age, as his father is also like that so he may have just modelled him..

Hey, thanks for the comment. I would never belittle or patronize her dreams and aspirations. I have supported her wholeheartedly but naturally there is heartache from my perspective, not just over her mental (and subsequently physical) wellbeing, but also due to the potential breakup that could result from it. I would feel bad if I encouraged her to go abroad and she ended up being terrified, unable to cope, or even hospitalized again. I want to assure anyone reading this that I wouldn't want to control or hold her under my thumb, I just care about her.
