  1. Question – have you ever gone on a fishing trip the two of you planned?

I can understand but wanting to have you join guy time, it might not even be about you. They may have a girl in the group that always wants to come, they may use the time to talk about really personal things. Or they may just be sexist idiots.

However, if your bf knows you like fishing and won't even go just the two of you on your own trip then he has a problem with women doing “guy stuff” and he doesn't sound that great.

  2. Maybe your driving a Honda accord puts you on a better path to becoming a millionaire as well! Wealth is what you don’t see.

  3. I had an ex who was much like your boyfriend. He always had to be the centre of attention. He would wear clothes for attention. In retrospect I realise his was actually autistic.

His behaviour was so in appropriate and selfish and that wasn’t even anything to do with his clothes.

In the end I resorted to hiding some of his attention seeking shoes. They were shoes with individual sections for each toe. They looked utterly ridiculous and would cause a fight whenever he played team sports at the gym. Basically, the umpires (yes, this happened multiple times) would tell him they weren’t appropriate and he couldn’t wear them and he would become argumentative and not back down. He would eventually be allowed to wear them because the umpires would eventually back down.

He would also behave like a tosser during the game – theatrical displays whenever he missed catching a ball or when someone else intercepted his pass – he would get down on his hands and knees and thump the floor with his fist. Multiple people wanted to beat him up after one game but my sibling intervened and told everyone he was autistic (he was never diagnosed as autistic).

Anyway, years after we split I saw pictures of him online at a ball. He was wearing a new suit with a top hat, a cane and gloves. He looked utterly ridiculous. His partner (his live! in girlfriend at the time) was dressed in exactly the same dress as she wore the previous year. He always had to be the centre of attention.

You don’t want to rock the boat but you’re not the problem here.

A wedding isn’t a dress up party. Your boyfriend is behaving like an absolute tosser.
