If tht was the thing i dont think any marriage would have ever worked out. Its about who you wanna work with. Every relationship has issues there is no point where both people would actually fit in with each other. One will like something and the other wont. Compromises are made bcoz all you want is to be with that person bcoz you both bring the best out of each other. Now people have plenty of options available and so they prefer to leave rather than dealing with the issue bcoz in dealing sometimes the person has to confront to their views, beliefs and ideology and any time these things clash with something people tend to leave (ego problems). If both partners have seen a lot in life and are at the age they want something long lasting and committing they both will work out for it. If someone doesnt that doesnt mean you are replaceable , it simply means they arenot ready to have the same thing that you want.
I care that my partner is intelligent, curious, independent (financially and otherwise), passionate, and can carry a conversation. These are things that sometimes come with a degree, but not always. I care more about those qualities than a piece of paper.
