you think it’s weird to bring your 34 year old bf out with your 20-22 year old friends. i agree. it’s also strange he wants to date someone who’s 20 at his age. he also sounds possessive and clingy. i can see why he’s not with someone his own age.
Well, I agree with you and I have looked into love languages and counseling but, once gain, I was the one that did all the reading while she wasn't really interested. We did counceling together for a while but she was always on the backfoot and never valued it very much. She was suggested a few books that never read (I ended up reading) and it is really had, for her, to get in the mindspace to review how she approaches the situation. I can see that she has tried, over the years, to do better but she was never fully dedicated to the thing or that it always felt as a “chore” rather than a genuine feeling.
She tried but again, the trying is always spurred by me and never initiated by her. There is always a feeling of “I guess I should do this” rather than “I want to do this”.
Btw, we have a kid and splitting isn't an option
