Sure, the comments might be different on posts like that, but if we actually think of it those situations are mostly not the same, so it’s not actually a double standard. What I mean is it’s different if a woman’s body changes because of childbirth and breastfeeding, and again different if she doesn’t give birth and gains weight as she ages or starts being less active/eating less healthy. With men it can never be the first scenario, only the last. So comparing ‘mom bods’ and ‘dad bods’ makes no sense, as there’s no actual physical reason why men get dad bods other than aging/not working out/not eating well (but that’s the same as women who don’t give birth). And still, ‘dad bods’ are more likely to get praise than ‘mom bods’. If there’s a double standard it’s actually to the disadvantage of moms.
“He says his mental health will be affected if we don't have a kid but mine is already affected now.”
If he expects you to go through with something that is causing panic attacks and a racing heart every morning just at the idea of doing it, when he is the one with the problem not you, he is being utterly selfish. He can find some other way to deal with his mental health, and he can take preventive measures since he knows it will make an impact.
IVF is incredibly time-consuming and invasive for the woman, while the man basically gets to jerk off, he cannot impose this on you.
Have you tried artificial insemination? discussed adoption?
OK thanks. Is everything else in the relationship ok?
He doesn't want a relationship he wants sex only. You may be wanting a relationship but he isn't
