I have a similar view of this word. Growing up in my family the “love” was implied, rarely stated. I grew up in a fairly happy and supportive household and we just never threw that word around. When I started dating my now ex her family said , “I love you” every time they left the house, or came home, or were heading to bed.. It made me really uncomfortable to be honest. I've eased somewhat with age, the birth of my daughter 20 years ago probably helped lol, but it's still a pretty guarded word for me. One thing about it, if I say “I love you” to a friend or family member they know I mean it!
I still don't think it's a word to throw around too often. To my way of thinking, It cheapens its meaning

As for the harassment. When crazy texts again, immediately warn her not to try to contact you again, not even via a third party. After she does it three times afterward you clearly telling her not to harass you, then instead of police starion, go to the court and insist on filing for a no harassment order. Be armed with all your evidence, including the stuff prior to telling her to stop. A judge will likely grant it. That order will give the police more of a legal ground to pick her up if she violates that order after being served. I had to do this myself before, and as I was up there showing all the text messages to the judge, I wasn't even half way through when he grabbed his pen and signed it.
This is a great example of people overreacting to perfectly normal and innocent work relationships.
