That’s not controlling. If my gf is going out with friends I ask her what time she thinks she’ll be home so I know when to expect her and when to get worried when she’s not home.
There's no harm in waiting. You're not putting it off completely, just until you have your life together a bit more. There's no rush.

If you want to save this relationship, I think you need to offer a few concessions to gf:
1) no more going out with this friend group unless gf is there. 2) no more drinking when out unless gf is there. 3) no guest in the apartment unless you give gf a heads up. 4) no female overnight guests… it's called uber, dude. If she was sober enough to come back to yours and eat pizza, she was sober enough to get in a cab.
