I (23m) was dating my ex lover (23f) up until a month ago. We were together for 4 years before that. Therefore before we broke up the lady was acting distant for any good month then as of last month sat me personally down and asked for a relationship. The minute those words came out of her mouth I actually broke up with her.
I came into this relationship anticipating a monogamous relationship and today she wanted to change the partnership, I only want to be along with one person, If we couldn' big t agree on that saw no future, with the way the girl was acting before this i cant trust her and even if she isnt acting shady I wouldn' t be able to trust the girl anyway for suggesting it. Those are some of the reasons We decided to break up with her im that moment even though it might seem harsh. Imo when someone wants a partnership like that the relationship should start like this for it to be healthy, not merely dumped on your partner right after years of monogamy.
Now ive been getting texts plus voice mails from the girl crying to take her as well as that she didnt imply it. Im not sure what to think. Some people have been informing me that I acted to rash and didn' big t even give us time to work it out which it was cruel of me to do that. Is this something i acted to quick with or not?
Tldr girlfriend recommended open relationship, i broke it off now the lady wants to get back together
