As an additional comment, I feel like I'm almost in a marriage where I'm trying to get a sense of where the threshold would be to consider that the marriage is just not working well for us. Of course, with the important and crucial difference that we are not yet married and there is, in my perception, a bigger opportunity cost to staying in a dwindling relationship currently then if I were 42 and married with children.
