If the roles were reversed and I was carpooling with someone to go to a dinner… then that person wanted to suddenly do something else that I didn’t want to, and I had to instead pay for an Uber or Lyft to get home myself, that seems a little shitty. Is this just me? Am I overly polite or something? The main problem here is I had no idea going to the club was something my GF wanted to do that much more over getting dessert with her other friend, otherwise I would have just let her Uber back. Since this was the case, should my GF not have just made that choice in the first place over dessert?!?! Instead of pinning it on me?
