You won't make progress in therapy unless you are comfortable with your therapist. It can take some time to feel completely comfortable and to make progress. It doesn't happen overnight.
Your girlfriend is jealous, insecure, and controlling. Threatening to self-harm and end your relationship because you won't go to one of her “approved” therapists is crossing a line, and frankly it sounds like she is throwing a temper tantrum. She should be talking about her issues about you choosing a therapist with her own mental health practitioner.
Don't give in on this. Please do what's best for your mental health.
